San Diego Padres Roster Report 2009-09-07--SS Everth Cabrera equaled a Padres single-game record with three errors Saturday night, then committed another error Sunday. The four errors in two games resulted in five unearned runs. The rookie has started in 73 straight games since coming off the disabled list.

--RHP Heath Bell has five saves in the Padres' last eight games, including three on the road. He has allowed only two hits over his last 5 2/3 innings with his ERA falling to 2.05.

--RHP Tim Stauffer held the Dodgers to three runs (one earned) on seven hits over 6 2/3 innings Sunday night to pick up his third straight win. After losing six of his first seven decisions, Stauffer has won three straight decisions and has allowed seven runs (five earned) on 20 hits over 18 1/3 innings (a 2.45 ERA) in his last three starts.

QUOTE TO NOTE: "This is not how I wanted to go out, but I'm surprised they kept me throwing this long." -- Mat Latos, after giving up four runs (two earned) on three hits and five walks Saturday in Los Angeles in his 10th, shortest and final start of the 21-year-old's rookie season.

MEDICAL WATCH:

OF Kyle Blanks (plantar fasciitis in right foot) went on the 15-day disabled list Aug. 29.

RHP Mike Adams (strained right shoulder) went on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to Aug. 22. He could be activated in early September.

OF Brian Giles (bruised right knee) went on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to June 19, and he was transferred to the 60-day DL on July 31. He might return in September.

RHP Chris Young (right shoulder inflammation) went on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to June 15, and he was transferred to the 60-day DL on July 31. He's out for the season.

RHP Cha Seung Baek (strained right forearm) went on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to March 30, and he was transferred to the 60-day DL on May 15. He threw a bullpen session April 21. He began a rehab assignment with Class A Lake Elsinore on April 28 but had a setback May 10 because of a separate strain in the same forearm. He started a new rehab assignment July 8 with Class AAA Portland but was shut down for the season in late July with continued forearm trouble.

OF Cliff Floyd (torn labrum in right shoulder) went on the 60-day disabled list retroactive to June 18. He had season-ending surgery June 24.

RHP Shawn Hill (right elbow inflammation) went on the 15-day disabled list April 25, and he was transferred to the 60-day DL on June 16. He had season-ending Tommy John surgery June 24.

RHP Mark Worrell (Tommy John elbow surgery in March 2009) went on the 15-day disabled list April 2, and he was transferred to the 60-day DL on April 5. He is out for the season.
